An interactive session organized on Friday by the Hyderabad GST Commissioner. It provided a platform for taxpayers to give clarifications on various issues relating to the Goods and Service Tax (GST) provisions and procedures.

The session held at the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce in Jubilee Hills. Hyderabad GST Commissionerate, Principal Commissioner D. Purushotham, and his team gave presentations on the new return system and e-invoicing.
Under the guidance of Purushotham, the team answered questions of the taxpayers. Purushotham said that this was an opportunity to communicate directly with GST officials. He urged the taxpayers to clarify their issues. He said this was the third interactive session among the seven scheduled workshops in Hyderabad.

The session was attended by Narayana Das Narang, president of the Film Chamber Association, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna from the association of writers and Damodhar, secretary of the Council of Producers along with other members of the Film Fraternity.
During the post-Budget 2020 interactions with the trade and industry representatives in Hyderabad, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, said we will take steps to solve the GST issues to them directly. Following the directions received from Sitharaman, GST outreach programs “Central GST in every district for you” are being organized across all districts in the state.
