He added, “Transactions above Rs 10,000 by each candidate should be done by cheque or online.  Managers of district cooperative banks should keep an eye on this.  Every bank in the Lok Sabha constituency is required to submit information on transactions above Rs 10 lakh to the expenditure control committee on a daily basis.  For this, district cooperative bank officers are the nodal officers and they are required to send reports daily, even if the reports are incomplete.  Also, the daily information about the transactions of the co-operative bank must be sent by the deputy registrar of the co-operative society to the district deputy registrar daily. If laxity is found in this work, action will be taken as per the instructions of the election commission.”

On condition of anonymity, a senior I-T department official said, “Along with the income tax department, the goods, and services tax department, state excise department, and the police department have formed the static control team (SST) to keep a close eye on suspicious illegal sale and stocking of liquor, distribution of cash, and distribution of various materials anywhere in the Lok Sabha constituency.  One employee should be provided for each candidate.  A daily report should be submitted in this regard.  One employee of each department concerned should be available at the border check post in the constituency.  The vehicles arriving at the border should be checked thoroughly.  CCTV monitoring should be increased.  If any inappropriate behavior is found, the report should be submitted immediately.  Also, instructions have been given to appoint an inspection team at ST buses and railway stations and thoroughly investigate various matters such as cash and materials.”
