ICMAI : Students debarred from 5 exam terms, if adopt unfair means in exams

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India has decided to conduct the Intermediate and Final Examination in December, 2020 in Online Mode. This is the merged examinations of both June 2020 term and December 2020 term. ICMAI has released two circulars, one for candidates/ students and other for members regarding derogatory, unwarranted and unnecessary comments in social media and other modes of communication about online examination process of the Institute and the pattern of question papers. CMA Kaushik Banerjee, Secretary in the circular referring to candidates/ students stated –

“It has come to the notice of the Institute that some candidates/ students are engaged in making derogatory, unwarranted and unnecessary comments in social media and other modes of communication about online examination process of the Institute and the pattern of question papers. The Institute has taken a serious note of this and shall take appropriate action against those candidates/ students who are involved in such activities.

Further, it is being brought to the notice that those candidates/ students who are found to adopt unfair means in the online examination shall be debarred from appearing in the examinations of the Institute for at least 5 (five) terms.”

“It has come to the notice of the Institute that some members are engaged in making derogatory, unwarranted and unnecessary comments about the online examination of the Institute in social media and other modes of communication with an intent to instigate the students, other members and public at large. The Institute has taken a serious note of this and shall initiate appropriate action including disciplinary proceedings against those members who are found to be involved in such practices.”
